fc1 = i hate my life = wtf

so i boot it up today and the mouse doesnt work (though it's still usb powered) and the ethernet (mobo built in) doesn't work. No discernable reason? Under network settings, eth0 is disabled, but if i try to activate it i get a "Users cannot control this device" error (even when logged in as root). The mouse doesnt work at all, ever. WTF!

edit: also no sound, just checked this out..

Error messages? Hardware specs? Things you have done to either make it work or make it stop working?

no error messages, just no drivers loaded
i did nothing to make it not work, it was working fine when i shut it down, but when i booted up it wasn't working
specs: athlon xp 2100+, epox 8k5a2+ motherboard, soundblaster live value, ati 9700 pro.
