Question FC 4 - Installation Issues

I have tried to install FC4 on a PC equipped with Intel 82865G Motherboard, Intel Pentium 4 HT @ 3 Ghz, 80 GB HD, 512 MB RAM, but when the FC 4 - Disc 1 starts to load after i wrote:

linux askmethod

I got an error message:

RAMDISK: Couldn't find valid RAMDISK ...
VFS: Cannot open "NULL" ...

I tried to disable the HT on the bios, also the Enhanced IDE, but no matter what i do i keep getting the same Errors.

What is going on with my LINUX, (because i already know that my CDs work fine, i have installed succesfully on other PC).

Out of the list of kernels that you have to choose from, select the SMP kernel, with your HT enabled.

The newer versions of the kernel address the HT P4 board as an SMP board to harness the power. Linux does not hyperthread.
