Why when Fedora shuts down does it fail on shutting down console mouse services? It doesn't seem to affect anything but id rather have all nice green OKs!

i wonder if it has anything to do with SbLive. That's the only thing i see we haev in common besides Fedora and the problem.

I have noticed this problem since Fedora Core Test 1. I still does it on my big computer which has been running Fedora since Nov 5th. I don't think it means a thing....everything seems to work fine. Ignore it. Just close your eyes for a couple of seconds when the red FAILED comes on and act like it's not happening...and then go to sleep at night without worry.

this weekend I installed Fedora Core 1, too. After realizing the problem I searched in the internet for it - at first for the German version of this message:

The oldest report of this problem I found was from 7/18/2003 for Red Hat 9.0:

Below is an English page from Juli 2003 mentioning this problem. The problem discussed there is more serious but doesn't seem to be directly related to this shutdown error. Nevertheless, these posts show that the problem with the shutdown of the mouse services is a bit older than Fedora:
