Question F9 machine crash/freeze

I have been having intermittent crashes/freezes on my F9 desktop. It seems to happen most while using internet with firefox, which is what I use the machine for the most. The screen all ways freezes up with a diagonal pattern, which seems to be in the colors of the most recent web page. I can reset or cold boot, either way is the only way I have found to get a response.

Also, I have an old Dell laptop and have F9 on it as well and see the same sort of pattern with in the webpages now and then, but it does not crash/freeze.

thanks for any advice

an off-bit thought, are you using any beta version of firefox? that might be causing the problem, as i've faced similar problems many a times and got rid off only after moving to a stable version. do think about it. thanks.
