F27 - Empty Trash Bin icon is showing the non-empty icon
 

After emptying the trash bin, it often still shows the non-empty icon. There is nothing showing in the bin, and emptying it again does not fix this. The only temporary cure (until it happens again) I have found is to reboot.

look at hidden ".Trash....." folders at the roots of all your partitions (also USB etc.).
you can remove them permanently with Shift+Del.

I haven't had the issue reoccur (to be able to test it). Your explanation seems plausible. The forum robot is spamming me to close this issue. So unless something changes, it is closed for now. Thank you for the explanation, ondoho.
