External drives not getting autodetected

I installed F7 on my Toshiba Satellite P15-s479.
All the devices and everything was working fine.

Then i decided to switch over to fluxbox and I did
yum -y install fluxbox
and started using fluxbox. And till some time everything was fine.

All of a sudden no external device i connect seems to be detected by my system, like my usb drives, external drives, even my dvd's arent autodetected any more can someone help me.
And if these devices are plugged when the system boots up, then are mounted fine.

GNOME and KDE use HAL to do the automounting, and loading you are talking about. Fluxbox does not have this capability, but I think you might be able to get something working with ivman. I've not used ivman extensively, but you may have luck with it.

Thanks alundil, but i sorted the problem.
Fedora uses some service called ConsoleKit for mounting devices i s'pose, and for some reason this had got disabled, i had to re-enable it and everything is back to normal now
