eclipse and stardict problem,need help!

Hello everyone! I found a problem in Fedora Core 4 ,and I can not fixed it
Maybe some of your may help me ,thanks!

1 : when i start Eclipse in root my computer stop working and "die" I have
nothing to do but restart my computer!
2: when i start Stardict(a famous dictionary in linux),it works well but can
not play sound ,I have install WyabdcRealPeopleTTS-1.0-1.noarch.rpm .this just happen
in root .

when I run these application in root those problem happen ,but in others they all work well

some of you may suggest me not runing those application,but i used to root ,as it
is convenient,not need "to su-"

Uhm, I think it's silly what you have said. Perhaps SELinux is causing this, I wouldn't know as I don't run under root.
