dual head display problem

I use fedora core 4 and xorg-6.8.2. "system-config-display" is incapable of doing anything right. Manually editing my xorg.conf (after 10s of tries- literally) i ended up to the following, which looks right, according to internet sources. However, my left screen doesn't work.
In previous tries the best i could do was my left screen to become the clone of the right.
Both are connected on ATI Radeon 7500. The left is connected on DVI via an adaptor (yes both are analog LCDs). It is an 15'' monitor with 1024x768. The right is an 17'' LCD with 1280x1024.
What's wrong?
Here's xorg.conf:
Code:

change to:

Code:

        Identifier  "Videocard0"
        Driver      "radeon"
        VendorName  "Videocard vendor"
        BoardName  "ATI Radeon 7500"

        BoardName  "ATI Radeon 7500"
        BusID      "PCI:1:0:0"
        Screen 1
EndSection

you may also want to turn xinerama back on. That allows you to drag a window from one desktop to another.

I have the following xorg.conf. Everything is OK, except the fact, that the left screen is the central one -the one, that contains the applications, etc- and the right one is the "spare" one. How can i do the opposite? I have done many unsuccessful attempts and it would be better if one could answer me directly. Thanks
