Dual Booting

I want to dual boot my Toshiba Satalite with Windows Vista and Fedora 9 when it comes out. Can someone give me a guide on how to partition my HDD and how to install Fedora on that partition? please and thank you.

1. Defrag the harddrive
2. get the gparted livecd and make the windows parition smaller
3. Install linux in the free space

With Vista, I believe it's better/required to use the built in disk management tool for shrinking the Windows partition. Then you can use Gparted to further divide up what's left and format as required.
