dual boot problem after Fedora Core 2 installation

Dear Sir/Madam:

I installed the xp to my PC first, then installed the Linux Fedora Core 2 onto it, however, the dual boot is not available: when rebooting the pc, it can only boot from the Linux Fedora, not able to boot from the xp.

how can i make the pc dual boot after installing the linux fedora core 2?

thanks and regards!

Hi there.

One thing i learnt when i did my first install and lost the dual boot was i accepted the default offerings on allowing the disk partitioning to be automatic.

Fedora conveniently does not recognise that the XP may be there and overwrites it. A bit of Windows like arrogance there.

My advice would be either install XP again, or get a copy of Knoppix and see if you can see the XP directory. My knowledge now runs out, but ask again in this forum how to get the GRUB? to see the XP partition, but i fear it may be gone for good!

Hope this helps
