downgrading gcc and other libraries on FC3

Hi all...

how do I go about downgrading gcc and other system libraries like glibc on FC3...

I want to do that because the code I am working with only compiles and runs with an old 2.9.X series compiler and an old kernel 2.4.21

Any help would be great.
thanks

Maybe easier way is to install older Fedora Core/Redhat? There is even support for old versions (RH 7.3 and up) by The Fedora Legacy Project.

Another option is to get compat-gcc-2.96 package and use that for compiling. There is at least one premade package for FC2:

You can always compile your own kernel 2.4.x :-)
