downgrading gcc and other libraries on FC3
Hi all...
how do I go about downgrading gcc and other system libraries like glibc on FC3... I want to do that because the code I am working with only compiles and runs with an old 2.9.X series compiler and an old kernel 2.4.21 Any help would be great. thanks |
Maybe easier way is to install older Fedora Core/Redhat? There is even support for old versions (RH 7.3 and up) by The Fedora Legacy Project.
The Fedora Legacy Project Another option is to get compat-gcc-2.96 package and use that for compiling. There is at least one premade package for FC2: http://rpmfind.net//linux/RPM/fedora....126.i386.html You can always compile your own kernel 2.4.x :-) |
