Dont know where to look.

I just upgraded from f14 to f16. Delay from grub to logon went up from 45 sec to 1 min 50 sec. During that period the screen is dark. I imagine that if I knew where to look I could find documentation that would tell me how to get it to display what is going on. If I knew what is going on I might find some default setting that is causing the delay? Maybe?

So I want to read the freaking manual - but I dont know where to look.

Can someone suggest a starting point - or alternatively - is it common for f16 to take lots of time loading?

I see that it is dramatically slower on closing a window. In f14 - immediate - in f16 maybe 2 sec delay.

No I dont have hardware accelleration.

Any wisdom would be appreciated
