Don't see all the installer page
 

Hi everyone,
After I choose the language and keyboard, the display only shows part of the of the page. I can't see the information on the right side and bottom of the screen, (no Next button).
I tried vga=ask, and selected 80x50. Initially I see the change,(loading the kernel...), but then it goes back to the same as before with the installer.

What distro are you installing?

I'm trying to install Fedora Core (2.6.11-1.1369_FC4).
I guess the problem is with the resolution anaconda is using?
When it starts I get "Monitor unknown".

Have you tried a text based install?

No....but thinking about it. Was kinda hoping there was a simple fix for the installer.
Last time I installed FC4 I just kept hitting "Alt F12" in place of "Next"....it did install, but it hung during a file download off the Internet, and I lost it.
You know, nothing serious, just messin' around with Linux.
Bottom line is I have Ubuntu Breezy on hda1, and want to put FC4 on hdb1....and maybe Mandriva on hdb2....way over my head, but I'm SLOWY learning.
