Distro package updates/iso's

Late last year I downloaded and burned the Fedora Core 1 iso images to CD and installed them on a system I use to try things on, such as newer distros. Invariably, I always find myself coming back to FC1 and here is the issue I encounter. Because my CDs are becoming dated, after doing the install I'll update the system using up2date or yum, and now that there are quite a few updates, it takes quite some time to patch the system and leads me to ask the following questions.

When new updates become available are the iso mirrors updates as well?
Also, is there a way to download the updates to a folder or server so they may be burned to a CD?

Thank you.

Why not download FC2? FC1 was only ever a release candidate.
