Hi, I just installed fedora, and i chose 256 colors, and it worked fine, but then i went to thousands of colors, and i logged out and then the screen was all scrambled and looked blue and pink, so then i restarted my computer, and right before it takes you to the login page it just freezes. everything and turns blue and pink and all scrambled. so is there anyway i can get into text mode and use my old configuration? i tried hitting f1 before the login page and it took me to text mode, but not long enough to put in my password. please help.

Try ctrl+alt+F1, then log in as root. Type init 3, this will cut off the X session. When you have reached init 3, type in system-config-display, this will bring up Fedora's Display Configurator thing. Then you can set up your display to your liking,
