Disk Error on Install, Hard Drive Related?

I haven't heard if a disk error can be something to do with the hard drive, I currently don't have any unformatted partitions, could that be the problem? What does the Fedora CD look for before installing to give me an error? If I took out my hard drives and replaced it with a new SATA drive that im getting, could I install it then, it wouldn't be partitioned at all? Is it even my hard drive, some people say it is the bios, i get disk error 32 and 80.. i think, and 20 in Virtual PC 2004.

i am not sure what you are talking about, but a disk error is probably going to be something with the hard drive. Maybe the controller. But the disk error could be complaining about not being able to read the cd. You need to post the error your getting. It doesnt matter that there are no partitions on the drive the installation will create partitions for you or let you create them for yourself if you want to(advanced config type stuff).

I get disk error 32 on 3 cd-rom drives and disk error 20 on Virtual PC 2004. I'll take a picture of it later and upload to my web space from virtual PC, the error is the same when booting up as Virtual PC , but the different disk error number.

Don't worry about it. The 32 bit version seems to boot fine. I have verified that I have a 64 bit compatible Sempron processor, the 64 version of Fedora Core 6 on CD just doesn't like me. I'm not too bothered, 32 bit is fine for me.
