Disable hotplug or USB device in Fedora Core 2

Hello,

I am currently using Fedora Core 2, and I am having a little problem: my webcam (toucam pro) is recognised as a sound card by fedora and it disable my real sound card (no music when cam is plugged).

Even if the problem can be solved by unplugging the cam (not too hard to do :-) ), I was curious about how I could disable a USB device in Fedora...

I have tried to use the /etc/hotplug/blacklist file to put the "audio" driver used by the cam and the "pwc" module it used, but it does not work.

Here is my question: how can I disable Fedora hotplug system or a specific USB device ?

Best regards,
John

Add the following to your /etc/modules.conf file.

alias some_module off
