Unhappy Dimension 8300 using Software Raid

I have a Dell Dimesion 8300, with two 120GB harddrives, ATI 9800 Pro, ICH5 Intel Chipset, but no hardware RAID. I set up my partions so that my machine would use software raid with the two drives under Fedora. When you shutdown the machine, it will not turn off. It will show the "shutdown" words at the end of turning off all services, but the power doesn't kill. I have tried enabling and disabling ACPI, because it can have something to do with it not killing the power. Changing around ACPI didn't solve the problem. The only thing I can think of is that it might be because I used software raid. Has anyone out there who has installed Fedora on a 8300 not using software RAID had this problem? Anyone know of a work around?

Thanks
