DHCP with Fedora 4???

Hi!

I am a newbie on Linux, but I want to configure Fedora 4 to manage the DHCP for my network (1xPc Fedora 4; 1xPc WinNT; 1xNotebook Win2k).

The problem is that i don't want to change the IP of the Notebook every time I connect it to my Network at home.

What do I have to do that my PC with Fedora 4 manages DHCP?

Thx for help!!!

Well you can change the range on the server referencing the IP addresses that are given out and set a static IP for your one computer.

I'm not sure if your able to assign IPs via mac address referencing unix/linux.

If I understand you correctly, you connect the laptop to network at work and also want to connect it to home network with no fuss.
If that is the case, check out ifplugd.

On my FC4 box, that package shows up in the extras repo ...
yum list |grep ifplugd

So, you could install it with: yum install ifplugd
