/dev/sequencer missing on FC3

When doing sfxload I get the error message /dev/sequencer: No such file or directory
This seems to be a udev problem. There is a discussion about it here:

but I don't know enough about kernel modules to fix the problem. Any help as to what I need to to get a /dev/sequencer would be appreciated.
