Customized linux
 

Hey All,

This may not be the correct question here or could find out dated. Any way, I would like to build my customized Linux from Fedora 11 CD which will have a customized splash image, customized boot message this will be used for my mail server project. Just to provide hint you can refer to deepoFix mail server developed by Abhay [http://start.deeproot.in], I need to build something like that.

I am still trying to find the exact article for this but no luck I am still beating around the bush. Can someone please guide me here??

I don't think you posted in the correct forum. LFS is a 'distro' on its own, be it that you need to build this one from the ground up.

Another thing: The link you provided is incorrect (there's a ] on the end that shouldn't be there).

About your question: What exactly are you looking for. The link provided is just the homepage for DeepRootLinux. If you use Fedora as a base, you might want to ask one of the mods to move this thread to the fedora forum.

Ok -So here I am ...

My requirement is, I need to build a customized Fedora Linux CD where everything is customized like it will have customized Boot message, splash image, and other stuff just like building a hardened Fedora CD.

Yes -linus72, I need to change the look of my version altogether where I need to set my own boot message, wall paper and package selection.
