Cups Error Log
 
Fedora 18, Cups error Log below.
Can someone please tell me why I can't Print.
I know rastertosamsungsplc) crashed on signal 11, BUT WHY ??

Where is this "Filter error_log file" ??? , none in /var/log/

Samsung says the CLX-3170 uses their Unified Driver for Linux. If you bought the printer then maybe Samsung has support for it as well. openprinting.org lists the CLX-3175 (http://www.openprinting.org/printer/...msung-CLX-3175) recommended driver as http://foo2qpdl.rkkda.com/ so you could check if you run that one, check if you've got the latest one and then check http://foo2zjs.rkkda.com/forum if you have problems.

Do you have the cups-filter or similar package installed?

foo2qpdl prints okay on the CLX-3175FN, but no Color printer.
Ghostscript is a lost cause, won't work with foo2qpdl
If only someone could fix the color problem it would be good print driver.

Save your knickel and don't bother calling Samsung, they don't support Linux and don't want to be bothered with Linux.

The Samsung driver-2009 is having problems with the later Glibc and don't want to be bothered with it.




I can't find a cups-filter package in Fedora 17, where is it ??
