Core 2 Duo E6600+DG965RY mobo on FC6
 

Hi guys

I had FC6 on my old P4 2.8/865GBF mobo along with nvidia Geforce FX, now i bought Core 2 Duo E6600 on DG965RY mobo with no graphics card. I plan to buy Nvidia Quadro later. I didn't reinstall Fedora. Just connected the hardware and changed the driver to i810 by configuring X. Fedora is woking fine.

For the moment these are my problems.

1) I researched a bit and found this mobo has probs with the S-ATA & P-ATA things. CD/DVD drives don't get detected normally, so i paramete 'all-generic-ide, irqpoll, pci=nommconf' to my kernel and it detects it. But upon this operation, my vfat hard drive partitions don't get mounted in my regular directories i specified and i dunno where it is mounted(if even mounted at all). How to retain both these systems?

2) My display is working fine but no openGL. I need GLX support for Tvtime, Blender and couple of other things. I updated to latest i810. How do i install this?

3) And if i may take the liberty of asking a Windows question here? Can't install XP after booting from cd, gives "File \i386\ntkrnlmp.exe could not be loaded, error code 7". I guess this has something to do with the mentioned mobo.
