Confused Kernel on FC2?
I have a kernel installed on my Fedora Core 2 system that uses 8k stacks
2.6.6-1.427.8kstacks Now that nVidia released graphic drivers that support 4k stacks, I am really confused what the most stable, up to date kernel is and how to install it... Sorry for the newby question but I installed the 2.6.6-1.427.8kstacks via RPM so do I need to remove the RPM kernel and then update it or how does this all work? |

Do you use APT and Synaptic for package management?
|
I use the apt-get utility to install s tuff if that is what you mean...

Synaptic is a graphical package management program using APT. It
provides the same features as the apt-get command line utility with a GUI front-end based on Gtk+ It graphically shows you all of the packages you have installed, and all that are available for your system (including kernel modules, etc). http://tettnang.freshrpms.net/rpm.html?id=229 |
