I don't have a net connection, and I want to install kde from the cds given.. How do I configure yum so that it doesn't try to connect and instead searches for the required files in cd itself? I'm using fc6..
Have you tried using this: Start-> System config.. -> Add/remove packages this will open a box and ask for the cds to install the packages that you want.
I had tried that.. It does the same thing.. Tries connecting to the net.. It's ok.. I installed kde manually, by installing all the missing dependencies one by one.. It was a pain, but I learnt quite a bit in the process.. Thanks anyway..
