Compiz after upgrade on Dell Inspiron 8500, FC6
 

Hi,
I had successfully installed FC6 on said laptop (after fiddling with nvidia drivers and such). At some point everything worked ok - compiz was stable and slightly sluggish, beryl - really fast but buggy (windows popping up black now and then).
I naively decided to upgrade (via yumex) everything that looks related to beryl, or libx11 GL or mesa.. hoping to fix beryl's performance. As a result upon launching compiz or beryl the screen turns uniformly white and useless. You can tell that the computer is not dead since you can still rotate the cube. Only its a completely white cube with no desktop or icons or anything else. Metacity works fine.
I tried downgrading back - got a list of everything that I changed from /var/log/yum.log and found the corresponding packages on my FC6 disks. Forced rpm to install those. Still get a white cube.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
