Changing Resolution, First Bootup
Hey
I downloaded Fedora, installed it, and everything went fine. When it went to boot up the first time, after all the thingies had the [OK] after them, the screen went blank. My LCD monitor than said "Resolution/Refresh Rate out of range". It is a Dell 1702FP (google for the system specs, as I cannot provide a link). I have only this LCD monitor, and while it works great on my mac, it seems that the inital resolution set by my installation doesnt comform (im betting its at like 70hz or something) Any suggestions on what to do? This is the first time Ive ever played with linux, so I dont know what to do, to access safemode or anything like that. Thanks for any suggestions! |
if you have the boot prompt you can try passing advanced parameters such as:
boot: linux resolution=1024x768 noprobe |
How do I access the boot prompt?
