Changeing folder owner

Hi,i have mounted a logical partition in /home/me/logical but i want me to have permision to write to it.I have tryed useing "chow me logical" in root but no go, it complains "chown: changing ownership of `logical': Operation not permitted".Where am i going wrong?

Would that be a fat32 partition by any chance?

yes i havent got to mounting NTFS yet=P

The regular and group ownership of a vfat mounted partition are determined when the partition is mounted with the uid and gid options.

Please read the "man mount" manpage for details on more options like dmask, fmask and nls.
