CHANGE SMTP port to 587 in Evolution Email Mgr Fedora 10

Help! Help! I am attempting to find out how to assign tcp/ip port 587 to my SMTP outgoing mail server in Fedora 10 Evolution Email Manager as I have been informed that such is necessary by CS.com to send out my email. My incomming email is working ok with the IMAP server. CS will not give me definite info on Evolution since they do not support it. I am in the dark as to how to change the default port and it quite hangs up. I think the port number is the problem. My other question is: is it possible to connect to CS as a dialup since they are not supporting this OS? I have tried in vain but maybe I need better DNS server info.
Thanks,
KFL

This I don't understand.
What kind of connection is this?
What if you use a router?
what did you do
errors?

Repo! Thanks, you are absolutely correct as I tried smtp.server.com:587 and it worked perfectly. Concerning the CS.com dial up it is far more complex as cs has many quirks to keep out Linux; but I am still working on it.

Comcast does the same thing, since they apparently think I'm some sort of mail spammer. I had to change mine to 587 also.
