CD-ROM drive issues (mountd properly, bu can barely work with it)
For some reason I cannot access the cd-rom drive. It is mounted in the default /media/cdrom, and obviously it works since I installed system using it, however whenever I put a cd inside and cd into where it should be I see absolutley nothing, a blank folder.
Evethough I did chown the cdrom directory to the user, when I start sound-juicer as a root I see the peroper songs (but only in s-j), but when I start it as a user I see nothing. Moreso, trying to rip the songs in mp3 as a root results in following message:
(sound-juicer:31599): GnomeUI-WARNING **: While connecting to session manager:
Authentication Rejected, reason : None of the authentication protocols specified are supported and host-based authentication failed.
Error trying to open /dev/hdc exclusively (Device or resource busy). retrying in 1 second.
It kinda sees the cdrom, but at the same time it doesnt'... I am very much confused... help? thanks.
