it is fixable but a new clean install will be faster

you have a mix of fedora 30 and 32 rpm's \

uninstall all the fedora30 rpm's THEN run a update

In this case it will be longer to do a fresh install because of all the extra things I have installed, compiled and configured. If I remove the grub2 packages will it boot?

rpm -qa |grep fc32 shows zero fc32 packages.

rpm -qa |grep fc31 shows zero fc31 packages.

I had forgotten since it was so long ago - I excluded grub updates in dnf.conf.
I will post the results after I upgrade.

The problem was that grub was excluded in dnf.conf
Upgrade successful!
