Cannot restore boot loader

hi there, i'm working with fedora and xp on the same harddisk.
no other hard disk on my notebook.

lost my grub loader due to a xp partition formatting..
tryed to look around on the website but culd obtain a newbie solution..

booted my nb for fedora CD,
in the main screen selected F5, then "linux rescue".

appeared this or smoething similar prompt
sb-005#
typed
sb-005# grub-install/dev/hda

but couldn't obtain nothing more than an error...

what can i do now?

Hello!

After you type

Code:

linux rescue

you have to use this command

Code:

chroot /mnt/sysimage

Only after this you'll type

Code:

/sbin/grub-install /dev/hda

thank you, i've just made by myself the bootloader restore, and did exactly what u suggested.
that's very nice to me, since i've never done something like that before.
anyway, thank you for your help
