Unhappy cannot connect to the inernet with kppp in fc2


hi,
i installed the fedora workstaion,then added the all other packages and installed the conexant hsf mdoem driver for linux,now i want to connect to the internet with kppp the connection is breaking at the last stage"loging on to the network...",the error message is:
Timeout expired while waiting for the ppp interface to come out!
then i download the latest ppp update for fc2 and installed it and also increased the timeout to the maximum range of 120 seconds but still there is the same problem,plz help me.

Hi have you try-ed the default dialup application ( start menu - system tools - network device control )
Ihave found that Kppp tends to be a bit buggy crashes for no apparent reason sometimes
-- also have you queried your modem dose it check out
