Can not connect to internet by 3g USB dongle in Fedora 23

Hi friends,
I have been using, till recently, Fedora20 alongwith Windows7 in a dual booting environment in my laptop. Few days back I have installed Fedora23 in place of Fedora20 and so my laptop now has Fedora 23 along with Windows7. But I can not been able to connect internet with Micromax 3g USB dongle in Fedora 23 although it has been working fine in Fedora20 and still it is working fine in Windows7. But here after configuring the mobile broadband connection by NetworkManager, when I try to connect it, it simply going off after few second wait. It seems that the modem is detected by the system, but can not be connected to internet for some reason. Therefore, I request your help to solve this problem. I have run few commands to try to understand what is going wrong and I am attaching the output of few commands that I have run.

Output of "dmesg" (only a relevant part):

Opps, my suggestion was already shot down by you on different post.

http://unix.stackexchange.com/questi...-modem-problem may offer a start.

Looks to be a connection issue as most of the hardware seems OK.

Why is the Nokia on there by the way? Does it have mobile 10 installed or hotspot enabled too?

Hello jefro,

I am not very sure, because same dongle with same connection had been successfully used in Fedora20 (I don't know whether some setting differs now or not) and also it has been used in Windows7 in my machine right now.

Yes, I am using my Nokia Lumia as hotspot for internet connection while using fedora since the dongle is no longer working there.

I am still struggling to connect internet by my usb dongle in Fedora 23. I have tried to run sakis3g but without success. It gives the following messages:
When I run
Code:
./sakis3g --interactive
a dialogue window came up where I chose "connect to 3g". After that another another window came up with the content
Code:
This action you requested needs root privileges. Please enter root's password below or click ignore to continue with your current previleges.
Command: '/home/sanjit/sakis3g "--interactive" --interactive SGUI="kdialog" MODEM="1c9e:9605" MENU="CONNECT" DISPLAY=":0" LOCALAUTHORITY="/run/user/1000/gdm/Xauthority"'
When I incorporated root's password, next window says:
Code:
''/home/sanjit/sakis3g "--interactive" --interactive SGUI="kdialog" MODEM="1c9e:9605" MENU="CONNECT" DISPLAY=":0" LOCALAUTHORITY="/run/user/1000/gdm/Xauthority"''
I am not much familiar with sakis3g.
Any body come up with some help, if possible, please.

ugh, it's been a while since i used a dongle...

some thoughts:
- did the sakis3g script result in a working connection?
- are you sure you're connecting to the right device with nm? in other words, does your dongle use vodafone?
- isn't sakis3g interfering with nm and vice versa?
- there was this thing... usb_modeswitch... is that installed and working?
- have you tried other software to connect? i know at least wicd and networkmanager do not like each other.

i think, you will have to stick to networkmanager and not use other connection software!
or, do it all manually. is fedora using systemd? there's some good stuff on wiki.archlinux.org.

what's the output of "ping google.com" and "ping 8.8.8.8" after attempting to connect?
