Can I remove Pirut?

I use Yumex, and Pirut takes up to much resources. Can I remove it without causing problems? Any reply would be appreciated.

Yes pirut can be removed without causing problems, strat by typing something like;

rpm -e pirut anaconda anaconda-runtime system-config-kickstart --test

If you get nothing back then remove the switch: --test
