Can I remove ghost pts thingys ;)

I'm on Fedora Core Linux - for some reason when I run the 'who' command I have a hell of a lot of processes but not when I run 'w' or 'finger' (below) it looks like there is some orphan process thing going on and looking at the finger command the processes are very old...

Any ideas?

What does the command "uptime" give you? Have you tried rebooting the machine and see if these processes show back up?
