Rep:
Can I download a "universal" Fedora ISO?
I apologize in advance if I confuse you =D,
I want to install Fedora (The latest version) on a USB flash drive and I want to have a portable system that can run on both AMD Intel. Is there any ISO for both Intel and AMD?
Please tell me if I need to add more info,
Thanks in Advance,
EpicAsian
hehe...i meant when he said "linux is not a mac" i already knew that...i just didn't see where he thought i said it has anything to do with a mac (see my sig XD)
Thank you for welcoming me and giving me good links and asking useful questions, when i join a forum...ppl usually just yell at me when i ask n00bie questions lol...
to answer your q's...
yes i know what a torrent file is and how to use it,
and no, i've seen the live-usb creator, can i use that?
one more question linus72,
if i transfer the LXDE i686 ISO onto my usb drive, will it run on 32 bit pcs?
The i686 version is like the 'Pentium II' version if you like, tho someone will prob shoot me for generalising
Yes, the LXDE i686 version will run on 32 bit PC's, to be honest, unless it specifically says it's a download for 64 bit PC's, it will work on 32bit. Take a look here: http://www.kubuntu.org/getkubuntu/download for an example of a download page where you choose either of:
**64 bit**
**Anything else**
Regarding your booting error, sounds unusual, can you post the error?
Personally I prefer Gnome, however it is a matter of choice. Funnily enough, given the confusion about you and mac's, I have mine set up looking a little like a mac, though very much Gnome! Here is a screenshot: http://img2.pict.com/27/0b/21/201774...screenshot.png. Let me know what you think!
I reckon the software in Gnome is a little easier to use, KDE advocates will say that KDE is very suitable for enterprise environments, and there is some truth to each. Depends what you wanna use your machine for of course!
