Can't upgrade an old wireless computer
I have tried to upgrade Fedora 10 to Fedora 11 on an old computer (Pentium 3, not a laptop) that is connected to my network through a wireless router. The wireless connection only works when the OS is running. The upgrade won't run without a network connection. Fedora 10 offered the option to use only the local repo; not so in Fedora 11. Can anyone offer a suggestion on how to upgrade without a network connection?

See the bottom about upgrading from CD/DVD. Also, this tells you how to edit the repository during install. |
Thanks for the help. However, I discovered that I could successfully upgrade using the "preupgrade" command. Apparently, it downloads all the needed repos with the OS running and therefore the wireless connection is active. I then proceeded to do the upgrade and everything went swimmingly.

Glad to hear it! :D
