can't turn off notebook


Hi,
I've experienced following problem using Fedora 6 on Acer Aspire 3630 : When I work only short time or I use only few simple commands I can turn it off ..everything is OK, BUT when I use notebook longer and try to turn it off all(icons,...)disapear and remains only wallpaper and nothing more happen...get freeze
