TOC Type: 1 = CD-ROM
/usr/bin/cdrecord: Device or resource busy. Cannot open '/dev/hdi'. Cannot open SCSI driver.
/usr/bin/cdrecord: For possible targets try 'cdrecord -scanbus'.
/usr/bin/cdrecord: For possible transport specifiers try 'cdrecord dev=help'.
I'm perplexed, any suggestions?

Thanks

Code:
cdrecord dev=/dev/hdi speed=10 blank=fast padsize=63s -pad -dao -v -eject
Try the above and see if it will blank the disk. I have found that the cdrecord commands will fail if the order of the arguments is not what it likes. Also, it seems ALL devices, on my own system and others I have seen, come back as 2,2,2 and it isn't correct.
If it's actually an ATAPI device, try 'cdrecord dev=ATAPI -scanbus' and see if it turns up something different.

NOTE: You will need to be root probably, and make sure the CD isn't mounted.
