Can't boot into Fedora's live USB

I follow the instruction here
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/How_to...d_use_Live_USB

to create a live USB for Fedora 17- 64 bit desktop.

But when I choose from the boot menu to boot it,
it can't boot up.

I had made sure the creation of USB was "complete", I did it in Windows 7.

I used the same liveusb_creator to make live USB for Ubuntu and Kubuntu, both are working fine.

I am not sure what's the problem.

When make the live USB for Kubuntu, it works fine,
I choose 500MB for persistence storage during making the usb,
but it does not work, when I reboot, files inside the /home/documents are missing.
They are not stored permanently.

Did you check the integrity of the file you downloaded? If you haven't I would sugegst you do so.

I checked it, it is ok, the live CD of Fedora 17 can boot in VirtualBox.

I just try to make a live USB for Linuxmint, works fine, but no permanent storage too. :(

I found that only mobo with UEFI Bios can boot the live USB,
old mobo without UEFI can't boot it, Why?

Since you fail to give us an exact error description nobody can say. You should have learned over the time how to ask questions the smart way, maybe you should have a look at the links in my signature.

no error shown,
it simply does not boot on PC without UEFI Bios.

TobiSGD 11-29-2012 09:48 PM

Still no sufficient error description. At which step exactly does it fail? Does it not recognize the bootloader on the USB stick? Does it stall during the boot?
We are not here to pull the answers out of your nose. If you want us to help you go and provide some useful information.

 that is just the wrong thing to say in so many ways.

In German it is quite a common phrase, I didn't think about if it is also in English before posting.

It's ok Tobi, I can understand cultural differences, should have thought about that myself.
