Burning an iso to USB?

I have Fedora 15 on my desktop and I was planning on putting an Elive ISO on a 1GB USB stick I have to install to an 8GB USB stick.

Normally, in Ubuntu I merely type usb-creator, select the ISO, and the USB stick, press a button and away it goes. 5 minutes later and it is done.

On my netbook, this process seems to make it unsure of which ISO it is, so I tried my Fedora desktop, and looked for a GUI tool. I came across LiveUSB Creator, however found that this does not accept it, only accepting Fedora ISOs! The error it gave was:

Code:
elive_2.0_Topaz_new-kernel_up003.iso selected
Verifying filesystem...
Verifying ISO MD5 checksum
There was a problem executing the following command: `checkisomd5 "/home/ben/Downloads/elive_2.0_Topaz_new-kernel_up003.iso"`
A more detailed error log has been written to '/tmp/liveusb-creator.log'
ISO MD5 checksum verification failed
And I was wondering, are there any tools for Fedora which are like usb-creator in Ubuntu?

Nevermind, turned out that usb-creator in Ubuntu was also only for burning Ubuntu. Any other ideas?

You might be aware, https://fedorahosted.org/liveusb-creator/ is the one used for Fedora.

I use
$ sudo dd if=F12-Live-i686.iso of=/dev/sdX bs=8M
See 'Using dd for a direct copy' http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/How_to...d_use_Live_USB
