Browsing the internet from terminal
Hi When i installed FC5, i selected all the packages for text based internet, which means that i could browse the internet without having to get a GUI. Does Anyone knows what applications i can use for that and how to use them?

Try lynx, links or links2. Links2 can actually run with GUI as well. You can always try, for example, "lynx --help" or "man lynx" to learn how they work.

You can use Lynx (or Links), whichever is installed. The commands are lynx and links, respectively. They can be followed by an address to go to when they're started (e.g. "lynx http://foobar.com" will take you to http://foobar.com). In Lynx, you press G (for go) to let you enter a new address. Not sure about Links.

lynx uses the '?' key to activate its help menu, which is very extensive. I don't have as much experience with links and links2, but they are much more sophisticated browsers; I believe that both of them will try to render frames and, given the right terminal, I've even seen links render graphics.

I've used them both; I have a fondness for Lynx, I used it for years dialed in from my Amiga to IgLou, a Unix based ISP here in Louisville.
Whatever you decide to use, learn the keyboard shortcuts inside and out and make sure that you have the alternate editor set to your favorite text editor.
