Bootup hangs during 'Starting sshd:'
Did a fresh install of Fedora Core 1. Upon reboot, Fedore hung after 'Initializing firewire controller (ohci1394)'. I googled that and found removing rhgb from the kernel line fixed that. Now however the boot up is hanging after 'Starting sshd:'. Any ideas on fixes?

Errors should be written to the log files, which you can read by booting from a rescue CD (or maybe from the rescue mode of the Fedora CD - never used it).
Alternatively, it may be quicker to install again with Fedora Core 2 and see if that works for you. Fedora Core 1 has now gone out of mainline support (it's 12 months are up). |
While booting after the message "Press I for interactive install" displays, do exactly that (:-)) & skip the sshd part... that would let you boot & examine the problem from the command prompt by manually starting/stoppng the daemon.

Sorry... I guess that would be "Interactive boot" ... :-(
