Bootmanager issue
Hello all. I am having the next partition config: 10gb for WinXP, as C: | 10gb for Vista, as D: | 10gb for FC6 as X | 1GB as swap for WinXP, as I
I am facing the next issue: On I (1 gig swap part) i have installed Acronis Os Selector
which starts without a problem. In order to detect the linux installation it says that i have to install it to mbr, which i've done. Now i select from Acronis OS Selector the Linux and brings me into Grub bootmanager. So i navigate from a bootmanager into another. I wish to disable Grub Boot manager once and for all.
Can anyone help ?

First, have you looked at the Vista requirements? I was under the impression that 40Gb was the minimum needed. With 2Gb RAM.

Second, to use Acronis -- or any other boot loader -- for Linux, you'll need to set up the loader to create the "initial ram disk" and transfer control to it since the actual boot process is to complicated to be described in 512 bytes.

As a work-around, change your GRUB configuration file /boot/grub/grub.config to have the following:

which tells GRUB to automatically boot the first entry in the GRUB OS list after 1 second without any prompt screen. Thus when Acronis transfers control to GRUB, GRUB will proceed to automatically boot Fedora without prompting you. (The 1 second delay is so you can hit the "e" key to get to the GRUB menu if you have a pressing need, For example, if a yum upgrade installs a new kernel, and it fails -- for some reason -- you will be able to "roll back" from the new kernel from the GRUB menu, and fix things.)
