Booting into KDE

Very basic, but bare with me as I have just moved over from Mandrake. How do I set Fedora Core 2 to automaticly boot into KDE and not the default ?

If I remember correctly, you can use the switchdesk command to set your default environment. So, assuming you have KDE installed, just get to a terminal and run:

switchdesk KDE

There used to be a graphical manager too, but that also has to be installed to run. The command above should get you going on KDE though.

When you boot and get to the login screen, before logging in:
(1) select Session on bottom left of screen
(2) choose KDE radio button

Once in KDE desktop open /etc/sysconfig/desktop for editing and:
(1) change to "KDE"
(2) save
Note: this will set the default desktop for ALL users to KDE
:=)

Thanks. FC1 would ask if you wanted to use KDE as the default when you logged in with a KDE session. FC2 doesn't do that and it was really starting to annoy me.
