Boot sequence font

Hi,

I disabled rhgb on my fc4, but I would like to beautify the boot sequence (already have everything as I like it: got nothing else to do).

I just want to change the font, like the one that is used on the installation cd boot sequence.

I was wondering the same thing. Using Debian Sarge (2.6.11-1-686 w/ grub bootloader).

The Gentoo boot sequence fonts look great. I know, I know ... a font is a font - as long as you can read it. But it seems strange to have those blocky "pre-dos-type" fonts on a nice modern screen.

:D

UPDATE:

figured out the issue:

in Debian:
add "vga=773" (without the quotes) to your /boot/grub/grub.conf (or /boot/grub/menu.lst) on the line starting with kernel
