Boot resolution problem on dell inspiron 6000

hello,

i am have a bit of a problem with my resolution only while booting up but once i get into my desktop it is fine. the boot process and the login screen the resolution is so low that i can not read it. i am new to this so any help is much appreciated

Add the vga=XXX option to the kernel line, example below;

kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.22.3 ro root=LABEL=/ vga=790 quiet
