What if i use a external harddisk to boot the ISO file? Do i need to clean other files in the external hardisk and left only the ISO file? Or it will search the ISO file itself??
Don't know about that. All my installations have been from burned DVD's. or CD's. When I installed to the thumb drive I had the ISO on the desktop and used it with the install method so there was no ISO written to the thumb drive. I backed up my thumb drive first just in case things went wrong. Turns out I didn't need to do that as none of the existing files were touched.
I also burned the Fedora8-i386.iso but the booting failed..z.zzz But did you managed to boot it??? Did you unzzip the file after download?? I'm using XP to download and burn it.
