Best Backup/Ghost - for Fedora 7

Hello all!!!

I'm looking at moving my Fedora 7 installation to a new pc. Is there a 'best practice' way of move the OS from one pc to another.

OH and I'm completely prepared to just do a new install, but I was hoping there would be another way.

Thanks community!

It's possibl but if the hardware isn't the same on both PC's, you'll probably end up with a broken system. I always feel like it's been "dirtied" when using a cloned or upgraded install. I deffinetley preferr reinstalling. Your choice, just be prepared for potential heartache.

You shouldn't have much problem. Most hardware is configured in the kernel or kernel modules, and I'm pretty sure you are probably using a standard kernel. If you compiled your kernel yourself, you may need to recompile one, but if you are going around compiling kernels, you probably won't have much trouble with your requested task. You can either move the disks or replicate them and move the replicas.
